Treatment

During your treatment, which can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours (your choice) you will have your own disposable gloves and probes. The probes are tiny, only 3-5 millimeters long and thinner than a human hair.

Process

    E
lectrolysis is accomplished by inserting this tiny probe into the same follicle from which the hair grows. A small amount of current is applied by means of the epilator to eliminate the cells in the follicle that cause the hair to grow. You will feel a sensation of heat before the hair is lifted out with sterilized tweezers.

Duration

Depending on the area being treated, you may have to have more than one treatment. This is due to the large number of hair follicles and to the fact that some are dormant. At a later time these dormant follicles may become active and you may need an additional electrolysis appointment. According to most experts, we have 5-6 stands of hair, each stand growing at a different time. In other words, not all the hairs you see are all the hairs you have. With electrolysis, though, we can permanently remove all the hairs we see and permanently disable the follicles in which they grew.

Goal

    W
e hope this explanation will help you understand what electrolysis does and what our mutual goal is: permanent removal of unwanted hair.
